 ADVENTUREPASSTM PRIVACY POLICY

Introduction

Membership privacy is of principle importance to AdventurePass. We respect your desire for Internet security and privacy and have taken measures to protect your personal information. You can be assured that we make every effort to create a safe and enjoyable experience at AdventurePass. This privacy promise tells you about the information we gather, how we use it, and how we protect it. By using this site, you signify your assent to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use any of the AdventurePass sites.

AdventurePass uses the Federal Trade Commission's four-point privacy program as a foundation for its policy. We have included these basic intents and the specific measures we have taken to ensure that we maintain the trust of our members.

If, at any time, you have questions regarding your privacy as an AdventurePass member, please e-mail staff@AdventurePass.com.

What information we gather:

When you register with AdventurePass, you will be providing personal information to us. Below is a specific list of personally identifiable information AdventurePass collects:

  • E-mail address and password

  • The person who referred you

  • Name

  • Physical address

  • Phone number

Below is a list of non-personally identifiable information that AdventurePass collects:

  • Age

  • Gender

How we use personally identifiable information:

Below is a detailed list of ways we use personally identifiable information you submit to us and how it is used.

To fulfill your orders: When you purchase a membership from AdventurePass, we and our payment partner, PayPal.com, need to know your name, email address, mailing address, credit card number and expiration date. This allows us and PayPal to: 1) process and fulfill your order; 2) provide you with any follow-up information; 3) notify you of your booking or purchase order status.

To send you our newsletter(s): When you subscribe to our newsletter, we need to know your name and email address so we can send you our newsletter. You may unsubscribe/opt-out at any time from receiving this newsletter by sending an email to unsubscribe@adventure-pass.com, or through an unsubscribe link at the bottom of any such newsletter.

To manage our contests: When you enter a contest or other promotion offered by AdventurePass or any of our strategic partners, we might ask for your name, address, email address and demographic information so that we can administer the contest and notify winners.

To personalize your experience: We may also use your contact and/or demographic information to tailor your experience on our site, showing you content that we think might be of interest to you and displaying content according to preferences that you have shown in previous visits.

To follow up on reviews that you submit: If you submit a review of equipment or a trip, in addition to other registration information (see above), we may ask you to provide your email address so that others may contact you with questions. You may choose not to have your email address displayed with your review.

To offer you specials and promotions, and to fulfill those in which you elect to participate: We also may ask you if you would like to receive special offers or promotions from some of our partners. These offers and promotions can be tailored to your interests when you sign up. These e-mails offer third-party information but are distributed via AdventurePass. AdventurePass uses your e-mail address to contact you regarding these specifically requested notifications and does not distribute your information to the sponsors who provide you with the promotions and offers. Please be aware that if you choose to respond to any of these promotions or offers, the sponsor of the promotion or offer to which you respond may receive or collect your information. Accordingly, if you choose to respond to any of these promotions or offers, we encourage you to review the privacy policy and procedures of the sponsor. You may unsubscribe/opt-out at any time from receiving these offers/promotions by sending an email to unsubscribe@adventure-pass.com, or through an unsubscribe link at the bottom of any such offer/promotion.

To send you third-party specials and promotions you elect to receive: During registration, and at certain times during any member user session, you may choose to receive third-party sponsors' promotions, listed as “Member Special Offers”. AdventurePass will pass the information you provide to those sponsors checked on the page so that they may contact you. Some offers are optional and typically presented as "yes/accept or no/decline" questions. A checked response or yes/no button selection indicates your preference. Certain offers may be presented with a pre-checked preference/selection. If you do not deselect (opt-out) the checked boxes on our join form then we may transfer your profile information to that third party service provider.

Our third party service providers have their own terms and conditions and privacy policies. We suggest that you visit their sites and review their terms and conditions and privacy policies before you "opt-in" to any offer. If you do not wish to take advantage of the special offer or promotion from a sponsor, please make sure that the box next to the sponsor's name is unchecked. If you do choose to take advantage of a sponsor's offer or promotion, please go to the respective sites of such third party sponsor to modify or manage the offers you request. Because someone other than AdventurePass extends these offers to you, you will need to modify those accounts at the respective sites of those third-party sponsors. In addition, we encourage you to visit and review their privacy policies and procedures.

Some advertisements displayed via pop-up windows will present offers to you. If you select the offer, your personally identifiable information will be passed to these advertisers so they may communicate the offer to you. These advertisements may be delineated from other advertisements that do not collect personally identifiable information by this statement:

"If you accept this offer, your information will be forwarded to the sponsor. Please read our privacy policy for more details."

Ways in which we use non-personally identifiable information:

To describe our audience to our marketing, advertising, and business partners: Non-personally identifiable information includes data such as age, gender and state or country of residence. AdventurePass derives a portion of its revenue from advertising and direct marketing. To provide advertisers, media and other third parties an accurate general description of our members, we may tally and average non-personally identifiable information such as age, gender and state or country of residence. Non-specific information may be gathered during the registration process, during polls and quizzes on the site, and through the use of cookies.

To improve our site: AdventurePass may feature polls and member quizzes on some of our pages. These polls are occasionally used to gather aggregate information to help us improve our site based on your responses. Other promotions help us gather aggregate information to learn more about AdventurePass members as a whole.

To troubleshoot and enhance our site: We use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our servers and members' connections to our Web site. We use cookies to enhance our members' experiences on our site. These cookies do not store personal information you've provided. Rather, it stores demographic information that isn't tied to anything that could identify you.

When we share your information:

While AdventurePass currently does not share personal information with third parties (except for sponsors as described herein), we do share some aggregate information.

We work to ensure that you are aware when your personal information is being released beyond AdventurePass. We will only share your information with your consent (outlined in the aforementioned ways) or where mandated by law.

Communications from AdventurePass:

We allow you to control the e-mail that you receive from us. You may opt-out of (specifically deselect) the option to receive communications from us. You may select or deselect the optional e-mail we may send you by sending an email to unsubscribe@AdventurePass.com. Each e-mail you receive provides you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving future e-mails.

Except for emails relating to your initial registration, you will never receive AdventurePass e-mail unless you have specifically requested one through the opt-in or opt-out process.

Links to other sites:

Our site contains links to other sites. Please note, however, that these other sites may have privacy policies that differ from those of AdventurePass. Several of these other sites may share or otherwise use the personal information you provide them. We have no control over personal information you choose to provide those sites. We strongly encourage every member to review the privacy policies of the respective third party sites.

Advertisements on our sites:

The ads appearing on our Web sites are delivered to you by third parties. Advertisements you view or access are not tied to your personal information. If you have provided demographic information to us, the advertising element of the site will occasionally draw from it to provide you and others that have similar demographic information an enhanced experience by delivering advertisements that their respective companies believe match your demographic information (not personal information).

Information about children:

AdventurePass does not collect, store, or use information about children. You must be at least 18 years of age in order to register with AdventurePass.

Reviewing the information we have gathered:

AdventurePass offers users who have voluntarily provided personally identifiable information the opportunity to review the information provided and to modify it as needed. Please contact us at members@adventure-pass.com if you wish to modify or have a copy of your information sent to you.

Changes to this Privacy Policy:

We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time. Please review the Policy on a regular basis to ensure your understanding or our current Policy. Upon a modification of our Privacy Policy, your continuing use of one or more of the AdventurePass site(s) signifies your assent to the new terms and conditions. If you do not agree to the changes, you must not use any of the AdventurePass sites. If you have questions about the practices of our site, or your dealings with AdventurePass, please Contact Us and we will attempt to respond within five business days.
